Primarily responsible for the safety & security of all customers on the aircraft whether in the air or on the groundHeld licences that covered both short haul and long haul aircraft including the Boeing 737, 747, 757, 767 & 777Delivering the British Airways brand ensuring that the highest levels of customer service were met & delivered at all times as part of a coordinated team and as an individualPromoted to Purser at London Gatwick; the in-charge senior crew member, responsible for the management of the cabin crew, customers and service onboard B737 & B757 aircraftDeliver the pre flight safety briefing & manage uniform & service standards Manage and deliver inflight performance assessments on individual crew Liaise with flight crew, ground agents and catering to ensure on-time departuresCalculating ‘Flying Duty Periods’ of crew to ensure crew are acclimatized to minimize delaysEnsured all safety & security regulations were adhered to as laid down by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) As an Aviation Medical line trainer was responsible for delivering and testing, theory and practical, mandatory training of both flight and cabin crew as set down by the CAA & British Airways Delivered medical training to new entrants of British Airways, annual re-current training for established crewmembers that consisted/included Basic Life Support, drug administration and the use of an automated external defibrillatorWorked in collaboration with other departments, with strict time constraints, ie, Safety Equipment and Procedure (SEP) training, to maintain a smooth running program for delegates Actively involved in writing and implementing new course material
