CurrentMonitoring and Operating EquipmentOperate pumps, valves, filters, and other equipment used in wastewater treatment.Monitor equipment for performance and efficiency, ensuring that systems are running smoothly.Adjust settings on automated control systems to maintain optimal treatment conditions.Sampling and TestingCollect water samples from different points in the treatment process.Conduct laboratory tests on water samples to determine the levels of pollutants, pH, chemical oxygen demand (COD), and other water quality parameters.Record and analyze test results to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.Chemicals and Additives ManagementManage the dosing of chemicals (e.g., chlorine, coagulants, and flocculants) used in the treatment process.Ensure that chemicals are stored safely and are used in the correct quantities to maintain water quality and meet regulatory standards.Health and Safety ComplianceAdhere to safety procedures when handling hazardous materials, including chemicals and biohazardous sludge.Ensure proper personal protective equipment (PPE) is used by all staff members.Conduct safety drills and participate in safety inspections to minimize workplace accidents.
