I have serve as an Executive Leadership Coach for Administrators in the Tier I and Tier II credential renewal program. I coaches candidates in all aspects of school administration, operations, and interactions. Our focus is to develop system leaders who build high-performing schools to ensure powerful learning for each and every student. I work with the San Diego County Office of Education offering a job‐embedded, site‐based, individualized coaching program as an approved pathway for clearing the Preliminary Administrative Services Credential.

After over 40 years of successfully educating students, from Kindergarten through the university level, Stephen Ahle Principal is now providing services to various entities that impact students'​ learning in the schools, primarily in Southern California. As "Stephen Ahle Educational Services"​, I am now able to expand my role of improving the structure of instruction and learning in schools. I have worked with teachers in Teacher Training programs at the University level, as a consultant in a training role assisting all educators, as well as ease their transition to Common Core and Concept Development. This was my expertise in the 70's and 80's as a teacher and coaching educators is now my passion to help them increase their understanding and application of thinking skills development, collaborative learning structures, and engagement effectiveness for learning so needed for the students in the classrooms today.The leaders of today also have a HUGE responsibility to re-train teachers on the effective ways to educate and "learn their students" moving past the teaching-to-the-test mentality that has been present the past 17 years. I am coaching Principals to be effective Learning Leaders. They need to be able to meet similar challenges that I had experienced over 30 years as a leader in schools in Southern California. I have shared with them promising practices I used, observed, and implemented in school and university settings.I received extensive training over the past 30 years as a site principal in Essential Elements of Instruction, Effective Coaching and Collaboration, Classroom “Magicment” and Engagement Effectiveness techniques, Cooperative Learning strategies, Learning Styles for Students, Mastery Learning Techniques, Dimensions of Learning and Thinking, and Visual Learning Using the Whole Brain.

I have provided instruction to teacher candidates in the School of Education as an Adjunct Instructor and a Clinical Practice Supervisor. The courses I have been taught have been "Foundations of Teaching as a Profession" ( EDUC 350) and Motor Learning (Kinesiology). I have presented lectures for various groups presenting topics in Classroom Management, School Finance and Governance, Engagement in Student Learning, and How to Get a Job. My book, “Become Memorable,” compiles a summary of a 20 year list of traits that teacher candidates saw in their favorite teachers. In 2012 I was recognized by the Association of California School Administrators as the Professor of the Year (2012 ACSA; San Diego and Imperial Counties) for my efforts while teaching in the School of Education at the California State University, San Marcos.

After 30 years of experience as a principal, and three years away in various positions, I returned as principal to help a new charter, Bella Mente Montessori Charter, grow in Vista, CA. This school was expanding its facility and developing its identity as it has grown to twice its original size while maintaining its Montessori focus and operating as a public charter. Having experienced opening two schools from the ground up and rebuilding two schools while instruction is taking place, many of the similarities of the growth factors and change theory were familiar and guidance was provided to them as they grew. It was exciting to be back in the education business again and fondly looking back on the year of assistance.

Stephen Ahle Principal served as a Principal/Administrative Designee in various capacities for 30 years. One of these capacities included being designated as the Principal to open 2 new schools (Pacific Rim and Poinsettia Elementaries). Each of these schools were identified to be designed with state-of-the-art technology backbones, wireless capabilities, and infrastructure for the technology tools and programs in the school. He was involved in the design and implementation of the instructional capacities for the facility and teachers that utilized SmartBoards, remote tablets, Audio Visual LCD projection capabilities, and communication technology that enhance the instructional anf operational functions of the site. He also served as Instructional Leader for two California Distinguished Schools (Pacific Rim and Jefferson/Pine Elementaries), served as the Federal and State Projects coordinator, established Language Academy for Dual Fluency, received recognition as Elementary Principal of the Year (2002 ACSA; San Diego and Imperial Counties), and was honored as the National Distinguished Principal for California (2006 NAESP).
