Versatile product manager with years of experience building complex information management systems. I am a technologist, educator, and life-long learner by trade. I have spent my career working at the intersection of information, education, and technology, holding positions in sales, sales management, production, project management, digital publishing, digital editorial, and product management. Trained in the liberal arts tradition, I hold a BA and MA in philosophy, an MBA in Management, and a Masters in Analytics. I am currently the Principal Product Manager for Data and Analytics at Copyright Clearance Center. We are an organization that represents rightsholder’s content to information and knowledge managers around the world. We do this through broad-based repertory licenses, search and discovery systems, document delivery, content management services, as well as workflow systems for the scholarly publishing space. Increasingly, we are creating services that leverage data analytics, include deep search, master data management, semantic tagging, knowledge graphs, and data delivery. As a product manager, I am the strategic lead for teams building software products. I assess the needs and requirements of a market and translate these to an engineering team that builds them. It means I need to understand what users want and need and it means I need to understand the possibilities of technology and what it can do. It is the role of product to bring these two things together in a realized solution.https://orcid.org/0000-0003-3416-0048
