As a Development Lead, the role involves supporting a large development team split into various projects. I am involved in several ongoing projects at once and attend stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives and any other strategic meetings that may arise. Developers don’t specialise in one area and get rotated around teams and projects, therefore I help co-ordinate this and facilitate knowledge sharing between juniors and seniors.The Development Lead is responsible for mentoring junior developers, working alongside architects, analysts, project managers and quality assurance to deliver new projects and maintain existing systems across the whole company platform.

Responsible for the day to day management of the systems development team with a staff of four permanent developers and two contractors. Liaising with the Enterprise Architect on existing and future projects. Managing product backlog and sprint planning to facilitate an agile working environment.

Developing Internet & Intranet systems for the use of of both internal employees as well as external customers.

Provides Small Business & B2B Web sites and applications. Offers a full service from domain registration and hosting, through to development, graphic design, search engine optimisation and social media presence.
