Established and Headed up, InVision Software Ltd. a Foreign Direct Investment R&D Software Development Centre subsidiary of InVIsion Software AG, Germany. In addition to Heading up UK R&D, I was responsible for UK Human Capital and UK Finance, including securing HMRC R&D Tax Credits and UK Government Funding such as Inward Investment Grants (Invest NI) and assistance from the Department for Employment and Learning (DEL).Tasked with delivery on the:- Development of the Enterprise Enabled, InVision Workforce Management (iWFM) Solution and multiple major blue chip client integration projects and associated System API’s - Spinning out a UK Sales Presence- Localisation function targeting 14 languages- Various relocations/refits to accommodate Site growth- Site transformation to an Agile development methodology - Site transformation to an Open Source/Cloud/DevOps development model- Development of injixo, an innovative Cloud based Workforce Management SaaS offering- Development of The Call Centre School (TCCS), an innovative Cloud based Learning Management System (LMS) SaaS offering Workforce/Contact Centre Management eLearning

These were the projects of notable interest:Designed and developed StorQM report mining tool, built as an NT Service C++ implementation SQL processing engine on top of a non-SQL source, an early data mining tool to liberate data locked in reports that provided sophisticated query management capabilities to enable data mining of mainframe generated reports and was widely used by many global financial institutions.Project Manager and Technical Lead delivering an integration middleware layer for a major UK high street bank’s emerging ebanking system. Built as a C++ integration using Mercator Mapping and MQ Series. Liaising with the various third parties in the venture such as equity management and fraud detection service providers Delivery Manager / Architect for an n-tier next generation Document Management System for a leading vendor. This required Liaising to the various sponsors on-site in India and London to perform requirements gathering, effort estimation, acceptance test specifications, system design and ongoing technical review of design and implementation work being undertaken. The technologies used in this project included COM/DCOM, MTS, SQL Server, Visual C++ & UML/OMT.

Whilst working for Singularity I also lectured part-time in the evenings to refresh my teaching skills. As a member of the computing department lecturing staff I was responsible for the delivery of BTEC HNC Computing Studies and City & Guilds modules covering subject such as C/C++ Software Development, Unix/Windows Operating Systems and Database technologies.

As an intern I was a member of a team working on the localisation of the Lotus Notesproduct. I received a discretionary award from my development managers at Lotus for process improvement initiatives.
