Responsible for return on investment, inventory turns, budgeting and profit & loss. • Helped turn a money losing location (-$300,000 + each year 2006-2009) into a breakeven location the first year, through cost cutting in the purchasing operations (renegotiated contracts for various services and with raw material vendors), greater efficiencies (redesigned the plant layout) and innovation (changed ways some of our parts were processed). • Moved into sales position to help reverse trend of continuing sales declines. Within a year and a half, increased my territory sales (IN, OH, KY) by 50% from $80,000 per month to $120,000 per month. • Aided implementation of AS9100.Plant Manager, Hickory Springs of California, Commerce, CA Managed foam pouring and fabrication production location with $18,000,000 annual sales, 68 employees with profit & loss responsibilities. Helped location remained profitable during the economic downturn through cost cutting and more efficiencies. • Implemented cost saving ideas, including energy savings, waste reduction and overhead reductions, saved more than $300,000 over 3 years.• Coordinated the installation of a $1 million foam line.• Managed purchasing department with goal of reduction in overall spend.• Oversaw and supervised the reconstruction of a fire damaged foam line.• Led implementation of ISO 9001.• Completed six weeks of Six Sigma lean manufacturing training.• Marketed and facilitated export sales to countries around the world.• Made sales calls on key customer accounts and opened up northern California sales territory, bringing in many new customers and increasing the territory’s sales by 20%.
