About Stephen Baird

My passions lie in the fascinating and always evolving medical device industry. I'm at my happiest when I work closely with healthcare practitioners, industry experts, and innovators dedicated to improving lives. It can take the form of new product launches, marketing campaigns, industry research, or process improvements.My professional experience has been fun and funky. Initially, I graduated with a biochemistry degree but found more of a love for business than lab work, so I pivoted into sales for a year. After that stint and missing a role in science, I found a good fit within the biotech world, helping with lean and six sigma projects to improve the quality and costs of protein and nucleic acid reagents.Fortunately through the help of mentors, I discovered the exciting medical device industry and have enjoyed my time ever since within a variety of roles. Some involved strategic pricing and contracting, while others took on the form of leading a team to launch new products. My current and most rewarding is as a global marketer where I lead product launches and marketing campaigns for our leadless pacemakers.
