Stephen is a social entrepreneur who designs and delivers programmes and/or organisations that drive purpose and profit primarily around the 'Future of Work'. Stephen currently plays leadership roles in The Social Innovation Partnership in the UK (www.tsip.co.uk), Path Group in the USA (www.pathgroup.co), Turning Basin Labs in the USA (www.turningbasinlabs.com) and with Black Global Trust (www.blackglobaltrust.com) and Pathway Fund (www.pathwayfund.org.uk) in the UK. He was a Visiting Fellow at Stanford University, and advises Regnerate and Future Governance Forum, and sits on the Board of the Barbican and Start.COOP. He recently helped Guys and St Thomas Charitable Trust in the creation of a new fund for diverse-led organisations impacted by COVID 19. In recent years he has either advised or collaborated with senior leaders at the following organisations: The Greater London Authority, Trust for London, Checkr, Google, Linked In, St Giles Trust, Tudor Trust, The Metropolitan Police, Crowdfunder UK, The National Lottery and Community Fund, The Kauffman Foundation, San Francisco Foundation, Jobs for the Future, Jewish Vocational Services, Women in Prison, Jobs for the Future, Bloomberg Philanthropies, Marks and Spencer's, Santander, Esmee Fairbairn, The Money Advice Service, The Avast Foundation, The Cabinet Office, Big Lottery, Nesta, Big Society Capital, Hidden Villa, The Covenant Foundation and more. Stephen previously worked at Tribal, Deloitte, iMPOWER, and the Home Office, as well as volunteering for Barack Obama's 2012 Presidential Campaign in Virginia, USA and shadowing David Miliband during his 2010 Labour Leadership Campaign. He spent time in Africa with The VSO and spent ten years as a school governor and four years as an UpRising mentor for the Young Foundation, and nine years as a Trustee at Centre for London. Stephen holds a BSc in Politics and History from Brunel University, and an MSc in Public Policy from LSE. He is Prince2 Certified and Lean Six Sigma trained. He has completed the Common Purpose American Express Leadership course (2013), the Goldman Sachs and UCL Advances 10,000 Small Business Leaders Programme (2014), and Big Venture Challenge (2015), and was a (2017) SOCAP scholar. In 2021 Stephen received an OBE for for his work in innovation in charity and enterprise. He also received an Honorary Fellowship from Social Enterprise UK in 2022, and was awarded The Freedom of the City of London in 2023.

During this time I led the original business case development (2011-2012). I then led the pilot phase of the work driving a partnership with academic, professional and government institutions delivering the first iteration of the Project (2012 - 2013). Between 2013 and 2016 I was Co_Director of Project Oracle leading strategy, delivery and partnerships for this £3M+ initiative. I oversaw fundraising, new income streams, and worked with other partners in the UK and abroad to replicate the Project Oracle model. In 2016 Project Oracle became an independent entity and I sat on the Board providing strategic advice and input as the organisation moved in to a new phase.
