After successfully implementing, growing and developing the first Circle Rehabilitation centre in Reading, this role promoted me to join the senior leadership team to translate and scale up the clinical and business models to 120 rehabilitation beds at the purpose built, state of the art facility in Birmingham.My pre-operational focus was to help develop the workforce, plan and implement clinical operations and to support with business development. I continued to be a key advisor to the Reading facility to ensure Circle Rehabilitation continued to excel and grow together.

KEY ROLES:Initial responsibility for implementing new inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services. Operational responsibility for delivery of therapy services and includes management of a large team of physiotherapists, OTs, clinical psychologists, speech therapists, dietitians and administrators.Business development and revenue growth with accountability of both services totaling over £3m.THE ORGANISATION:Circle Rehabilitation is part of the Circle Health Group, a private healthcare provider, and has a strategy to build large scale rehabilitation centres across the UK to act as a bridge between acute hospitals and care at home. We have a joint partnership with VAMED, a hugely successful and internationally renown rehabilitation organisation with over 70 centres across Europe. Circle Rehabilitation opened its first unit in Reading in February 2017 and provides intensive multidisciplinary rehabilitation to inpatient neurological (e.g. stroke, Parkinson's and MS) and MSK patients (trauma, complex trauma, and post-op orthopaedic care such as hip or knee replacement surgery). The unit has 15 inpatient en-suite beds, and is headed by a specialist rehab consultant who is supported by 24 hour residential medical cover, nursing, specialist physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, clinical psychology and dietetics.
