I lead the transformation of software and hardware design support to over 300 laboratories globally from a local site-focused support model to a globally standardise and resourced support model (ITIL compliant). During this time I have enabled global transformational changes to how designers and developers work in areas such as information security, firewall implementations to OS installations.Achievements:• Lead change for a 65 FTE organisation to provide a globally standardised and compliant supported service. Designed and implemented new workflow management processes for supporting 300 labs. Restructured locally supported work to be globally supported with SLA’s and OLA’s put in place. Re-worked, developed and seamlessly moved headcount allocation from operational activities to engineering activities. Led the drive to deliver process improvements through Problem & Knowledge Management systems. • I initiated and implemented Intellectual Property (IP) Risk Assessment and Issue Mitigation processes bringing about lab security & IP understanding improvements to over 300 labs globally. • Enabled ROI and Time to Market improvements for internal customers through leadership and enablement of numerous teams. The teams I lead have developed solutions in such areas as Multi OS installations and post customisation, along with the usage of virtualisation-based Infrastructure as a Service (IAAS) for the global laboratory environments. These changes are being successfully rolled out to 200+ labs and are being used by over 5000 internal customers worldwide.• Received numerous recognitions for my contributions to many M&A activities such as Infineon Wireless solutions integration in Germany, Unipro & Elbrus M&A activities in Russia and many others.

As the IT Engineering Computing Manager, I develop and lead a strong team in the provision of all aspects of IT for the Intel site in Shannon, Ireland and manage remote IT support for the Silicon and software development teams working on the recently announced Intel(r) Quark family of IoT devices being developed at the Leixlip site in Ireland. I lead major projects across EMEA, Russia and USA and have direct reports based in Germany, France, Poland and Russia thus leading culturally diverse IT staff groups both at senior and junior grades throughout the world.Achievements :• Resourced and provided leadership for an Ireland IT team both strategically and operationally to enable 350+ Intel Ireland customers across a number of divisions focusing on server chipset, security and communication silicon and software design.• Proactively bringing innovation and new ideas to continuously transform IT into a source of strategic value and competitive advantage for its customers in Ireland.• Develop and manage the Ireland Engineering Computing IT budget to enable and support strategic objectives for Intel Shannon and Intel Ireland sites. • Administering year round employee performance management is a process that I have excelled at over many years, using it as a tool for the development of a strong leading edge team and too ensure a win-win for the company and the employee.

Led a 12-person team of Windows system administrators based across EMEA and Russia to deliver outstanding sustaining support to IT’s customer base as well as bringing forward positive disruptive methodologies to the way support was delivered globally. As Senior Experimental Officer I worked with national and international academics, PhD and Master postgraduates, along with undergraduate students to complete ASIC chip design research and projects. During this time I worked in the roles of Lecturer, CAD Tools Design Administrator and Unix System Administrator.Achievements:• Designed, developed and implemented the first ASIC Chip Design Laboratory at the University of Limerick.• Led the University of Limerick’s integration with the EU Funded Eurochip/Europractice IC Service where I enabled the fabrication of 2 chips annually. • Delivered Unix System Administration training to System Administrators and technical staff in the seven Universities in Ireland.
