CurrentOperated $12 million federal grant to train over 1100 Portland workers into health care career tracks. Collaborate with community based organizations and government entities, primarily Oregon Employment Department and the Oregon Department of Human Services. Maintain communication channels with partners.Interpret state and federal regulations as the apply to workforce programs. Draft policies for WorkSource Portland Metro grants and programs. Participate in regional campaigns to increase funding and public support for workforce development programs in Multnomah and Washington County. In November 2018, Launched new child care payment assistance project to provide low-income Portland residents with child care assistance while they pursue occupational skills training. Pilot will run for 2 year and serve 50 participants with child care assistance during and after training.
