I'm a trained lawyer who made a switch into Information Technology after a decade of successful practice because I am truly excited about the power of the Internet and other computer technologies that are rapidly changing our world. I've had the fortune to work in a challenging and supportive environment at Toronto Rehab where I've had the opportunity to research, prepare RFP, review prospective vendors, present proposals and implement new network infrastructure, firewalls, email systems, spam filtering, vpn's, Active Directory, BES (Blackberry Enterprise Server), clinical and financial systems. I've provided application and database support. I'm also a committed community volunteer who has worked with the Daily Bread Food Bank, the Chinese Canadian National Council and currently sit on the board of the Ontario Chapter of the Canadian Parents for French. I love to travel and meet people from other countries and speak several languages including French, Mandarin, Spanish and, of course, English. I'm an organizer for the Toronto French Meetup, The Toronto Chinese Meetup and the Oakville German Meetup (www.meetup.com).
