Working within the health and social care field for over 20 years I have experienced, delivered and facilitated many valued support services. During this time two principles have always been constant to me, those of empowering people to achieve their own goals and choices alongside facilitating services to work to supports that are rooted in positive person centred ways of thinking.Over these years I have witnessed on more than one occasion the minimal support available to providers, management and staffing teams in reaching their full potential to deliver goals of person centred and community supportive services. I also have noticed that people and communities are not always being involved or given the opportunity to be personally involved as an asset in creating those services. As a result I established Valued Care Solutions in 2011 which from day one, works with a principles base of person centred and community asset based approaches, offers tailored service supports and valued advice to all providers across the health and social care sector.
