In this role I was responsible for coordinating the delivery of Intamac’s software solutions to partners, channels and consumers. This included orchestrating all stages of the project life cycle from conception to deliveries and thereafter live support. Projects were valued from £100K to £2M each and I would directly control up to 8 projects at a time with up to 50 developers.I reported directly to the CEO and managed a team of project managers, QA testers, support staff and business analysts. I introduced and performed many of the project governance activities to ensure compliance with risk management, resource management and task management. I also introduced project reporting standards to ensure all stakeholders were aware of project status, costs, high level risks and milestones. I resolved scope and costs creep by mandating change management processes.I negotiated resource assignment with internal and external stakeholders and optimised project planning for best use of available resources through Agile project management and sprints. I presented project scope, plans and costs to stakeholders and represented Intamac at regular client project boards. I would act as a SPOC for most clients and travel to client sites to review and arbitrate critical issues and plan risk mitigation.I ensured project budgets were defined and maintained and invoicing was executed at the correct time. I instigated resource usage to track costs against planning.I also reviewed operational processes to reduce costs. For example, the removal of automated SMS messaging where unnecessary and the optimisation of servers to minimise server rack space.My extensive background in software development significantly contributed to my successes in this role.

InVue Security Products creates compelling digital signage in-store experiences and secure display mounts.In this role I had to recover a failing project where the previous digital signage system was failing to gain market traction following initial POCs. I was responsible for the re-scoping, redesign and implementation of a replacement software platform for digital signage. I was based in Amsterdam and Charlotte, USA, and engaged a team of software developers and content managers in the USA and Netherlands.Using Agile methodologies I acted as Product Owner to design and develop a new platform ‘ybuy YQ’ in response to the market needs, product innovation and client feedback adding several new enterprise features over the previous system and removing many restrictions, constraints and shortcomings. We performed an extensive competitive analysis to safeguard the system would be an ongoing success. The team that I assembled successfully delivered the solution on time and within budget. I worked with partners across the globe to deploy the system into retailers such as Tesco, Carrefour, Metro, Zain, Chariton Valley and brands such as Sony, Telefonica and Polar.

I was the Lead Consultant on retail signage systems projects for Tesco UK, Tesco Malaysia, Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, B&Q, Jessops, Halfords, Lakeland, Home Depot, Office Max, Sears, Belk, BonTon, SAKS, Pets At Home and many others.I was responsible for defining the signage needs of clients, defining product enhancements and changes, and working with software teams to implement and deploy the systems. I was responsible for integrating the system into client databases, as well as writing code to process data. For each project I was the SPOC on status, issues and roadmap.When I was promoted to Lead Consultant in 2007 I took responsibility for project management alongside the incumbent PMs. I managed RAID logs, change and the phasing of development of my projects. I took control of scope creep and the resulting client costs often exceeded the original cost of the project – without my control these costs would have been absorbed by Episys rather than the client.
