I am a former federal prosecutor who focuses on health care fraud and data analytics. I was a federal prosecutor 11 years and served as the senior counsel to the Chicago office's health care fraud unit. Since opening my solo practice in 2022, I have done five criminal trials, including United States v. Paulus, where I helped clear an interventional cardiologist of charges that he had done unnecessary stent procedures, and United States v. Fermin, where I helped clear a business owner of fraud and kickback charges. I bring to my cases years of experience investigating and litigating complex cases, extensive use of data analytics, and a background in journalism.Earlier in my career, I was an associate at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP and a partner at Benesch Friedlander Coplan and Aronoff.I have also applied my investigative and writing skills in some unusual ways. I analyzed the Sherlock Holmes stories and wrote up an analysis that puts the stories in a new light and that led to my being inducted into the Baker Street Irregulars. I have also written, researched, and spoken about Asian-American legal history.
