PACS: Picture Archiving and Communication System. Through my work placement, I have learnt to use the systems (RIS,IMPAX and IEP) which house and utilize the database that houses the hospitals data. These system are primarily based in the radiology department to which this position is mainly in. This role focuses around the management of this information and the control over the flow of this information to and from the hospital when required.

At the Lea Bridge Library I volunteered there for a 1 year, whilst there I had several roles during this period; setting up the counter, maintain a tidy environment for the public and my colleagues, removing outdated information from the system, dealing with external and internal deliveries. During my time there as a volunteer, I learned to become more independent and be more inclined to take my own initiative as supervision was not always present and therefore tasks still needed to be completed without instruction.
