After four decades in IT, three of them in cybersecurity, I see troubling gaps in understanding among the people who set technology policy in government and develop technology strategy in business. I would like to fill those gaps and prevent further waste and failure due to ignorance of our digital infrastructure's inherent weaknesses. In short, we can do better at technology, at risk management, cybercrime deterrence, cyberspace stability, data privacy, social justice and gender equality. Specialties: Researching, analysing, and explaining complex issues in technology, like cybercrime, malware, and the implications of new tech, like crypto and AI. I am quite effective at spreading the word about things that move me, from good causes to sound policy. I am also a keen advocate of greater workforce diversity and a stronger emphasis on ethics in technology development. As a volunteer I offer cybersecurity awareness sessions for employees. I also drive patients to and from our local hospital (University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire, part of NHS England). I advocate for action to close the gender gap in healthcare and raise awareness of the condition that disabled my partner, Chey Cobb: hereditary hemochromatosis, a potentially fatal genetic disorder (also known as Iron Overload, Bronze Diabetes, and Celtic Curse).Key words?
