Partner

Aspen, Co, Us

For over 35 years, Poss Architecture + Planning has been synonymous with innovative design, ranging from large-scale resorts to custom private residences. Based in Aspen, Colorado, Poss takes immense pride in their creative ingenuity and close, professional client relationships. My own professional development began as an intern in the architecture offices of Robert A.M. Stern in New York, where I gained experience in resort development and commercial planning through work on projects for both the Disney Corporation and Squaw Valley USA. I later came to work in the offices of Helmut/Jahn in Chicago where I collaborated on several airport and office complexes such as O’Hare and Jeddah International Airports and the Sony Center in Berlin. Through these projects I gained a knowledge of large scale planning and design; however, it was not long before I began to desire a more humanistic scale and approach to the practice of architecture. It was this desire that lead me to Aspen in 1994 where I joined Poss Architecture + Planning. Over the course of 21 years with Poss I successfully grew from an intern to a Partner; accountable for the daily management and financial success of a 40 person design oriented firm. I was the leader of the firm’s Financial and Project Delivery Task Force and Co-Leader for firm wide human resource initiatives including employee development and review processes. My skills in presentation techniques, verbal, written and various digital media platforms were utilized to their fullest on projects that required significant community involvement and long term governmental approvals processes. This is an area of focus that I made lasting impact within the firm leading to a significant track record of success making Poss one of the industry leaders in this area.
