Designed, built and maintain company's database to manage all information and create reports regarding Billing, Attendance, Evaluations as well as Client, Trainer and Learner data.Central role in designing, developing and implementing IA's proprietary language evaluation and progress reports.

In 2007 I decided to work for myself in order to gain more flexibility over my working life and so finance and dedicate time to my studies towards my Economics degree.I negotiated a position as the in-house English language resource at a large Spanish Utilities company as they focused on international expansion. I worked with key senior personnel (up to the Deputy General Manager level), to improve their ability in business English in general, and to coach and prepare them for specific meetings, presentations and negotiations. I also advised on, proofread and sometimes translated important documents or correspondence. In 2009 I formed a collaboration with a Spanish translator as her English proofreader and we translate various corporate documents into English for publication.

During my studies I helped my sister set up her fashion label. Originally involved with Financial Planning, my role expanded to Financial and Data Manager and Co-Owner.Among other things, this required designing, building and maintaining the database for managing stock control, sales and invoicing. As well as developing systems to coordinate work remotely with geographically separated teams.

Mainly training Spanish speakers in Multinational firms, or companies engaging in international business, how to learn, implement and perfect the use of the English language in these environments.

I joined the new Fundraising department, Direct Dialogue, as it started. We went on to raise in excess of €2m of yearly support in our first year of operation - winning an industry award in the process.I met thousands of people, from all walks of life, in all of Ireland's cities and most towns. I promoted Concern's work and recruited committed donors to collectively pledge thousands of euros in on-going, yearly support.I trained and lead teams who raised up to €100,000 of support each month.I gave presentations in schools and volunteered as an adjudicator Concern's yearly debate competition.I represented our department on a live National radio discussion programme.

Working 7 days a week, 12 to 20 hours per day, for 6 straight months, this was an intense and formative experience in which I earned a lot of money and learned an enormous amount.My week started with a 20min sales presentation to an audience of around 500 newly boarded passengers to hire our snorkeling equipment. This activity determined the majority of my commision-based pay. I eventually set a new sales record for that year.I had total responsibility for the concession once at sea. I had one official member of staff under me, but I also regularly recruited other crew-members to help with some tasks on an ad-hoc basis.I also had to film, edit and sell daily and weekly "Video Diaries" to the passengers - which meant attending every event and tour possible and convincing as many passengers as I could to actively take part in the videos. This required indefatigable people skills.
