Productizing Upsells - Contributed towards design for productizing Rokt’s alpha Upsells product - which aims to apply ML to upsell users at end of transaction cycle leveraging Rokt’s partnerships to create a distributed marketplace- Built out prototype for said system, which involved migrating a microservice architecture for experimental purposes towards building out reusable and configurable plugins that captured the core business logic - Developed features for maintenance of said infrastructure including a plugin registry, auto-generating code to identify each plugin, and integration snapshots to ensure consistency of plugins - Contributed to code reviews and helped coordinate 3 teams across NY and Seattle to develop this systemMargin Database Management - Margin is a metric that determines that percentage that a seller profits off of the item - This metric has been passed down to various databases via Kafka stream and used by various different teams, but the issue came that at one point there became multiple databases that served as the source of truth, causing the metric to be lost on machine learning algorithm- Therefore, in order to help the initiative on creating a source of truth, I helped verify the data of the margin dataset (coordinating with product managers and analytics team), integrated and standardized the integration across all 11+ Rokt’s partners, and conducted throughout testing to ensure this crucial metric was properly implemented- Conducted code reviews and worked alongside 3 engineers as a part of this margin management initiative
