I am a Chartered Architectural Technologist MCIAT who is highly motivated about my work. Committed to career development and expanding my experience within the industry. I graduated with a degree in Architectural Technology from Dublin School of Architecture DIT, Bolton Street in 2005. Now in my 18th year in the workplace, I have gained a solid grounding in good architectural design practices including residential, commercial, healthcare and the high-tech industry including large scale cleanroom projects.In terms of my current role, I was approached by RKD Directors to bring my broad range of experience to a newly created Building Control Amended Regulations (BC(a)R) Team in Nov 2014 under the new role of BC(a)R Manager and have been central to developing the tools to manage the process on BC(a)R Certification. I co-ordinate all BC(a)R activities on all BC(a)R projects at Project Team level (Ancillary Certifiers, Builder etc.). I manage the Building Control Management System (BCMS) and the ZUTEC interface for each project. I have also worked closely with the Local Authority Building Control to ensure that their requirements and commentary on BC(a)R requirements is effectively communicated back to the Project Team.Since joining RKD, recent architectural experience has included a secondment to the Intel FAB24 upgrade project for 13 months, where my duties included design compliance review and site inspection work for the main contractor on the project. Prior to this, architectural experience has included the Kerry Group Global Technology and Innovation Centre, Cavan General Hospital, Inchicore Primary Health Centre, Crumlin Children’s Hospital and the Coombe Womens + Infants University Hospital where I have been involved in all stages of the projects, from detail design to project management and completion. International experience includes projects for the Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia and for Primark Stores Ltd in Germany.
