Engineering Intern assisting with various tasks, with work including:• Creation and maintenance of job travelers, done so by condensing OEM overhaul instructions, or by characterization of parts that are newly inducted.• Reverse engineering of parts and tools through use of optical measuring devices and probe arms to assist in part characterization for future repair development.• Tool drawing creation for use in aero and gas turbine engine repairs, ranging in size from handheld tools to full engine build stands for use in the assembly and disassembly of LM2500 series engines.• Quoting out tool designs to local manufacturing and fabrication facilities while maintaining contact during the fabrication process• Assistance in data sheet creation for tooling meant to reduce rotor build time from two weeks to less than one.• Dispositioning of parts that have been stopped due to discrepancies by following OEM engine manuals.
