I am a PhD qualified research engineer with extensive experience in biological/medical imaging and image processing. For the last 9 years I have focussed on development of novel image processing software for medical X-ray analysis in both an academic and commercial capacity. During this time I have developed a wide range of skills and experience, including software development, stakeholder management, modelling, data analysis and visualisation. My most significant contribution during this time has been the development of 4D functional imaging for biological imaging using X-rays, representing a world-first in the field. This patented technology has attracted significant media attention, having been featured in The Age, ABC Science Online, and Cosmos Magazine.My research track record (over 30 publications and conferences, 270 citations – Google Scholar) demonstrates my ability to critically analyse, interpret and communicate research results. I am also inventor on 19 patents/patent applications, evidencing a capability to contribute novel and inventive ideas. I have a passion for generating the maximum real-world impact from research, and am always excited to find new opportunities to apply my skills to help solve difficult research problems.
