• Responsible for creating a classroom environment that develops in each student skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing that are fundamental to effective communication and literate citizenship.• Teach content and skills in English language, literature, composition, and reading to middle school students, utilizing Common Core standards. • Develops lesson plans and supplementary materials to provide individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student and subgroups of students. • Evaluates each student’s progress in meeting the course standards for English skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing).

• Responsible for operating the Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS); ensuring the safe, accurate, and lethal delivery of canon fires used to support infantry and tank units in combat. • Assists FDC Chief in supervision of all fire control operations.

• Fulfill both short- and long-term substitute assignments across all subject areas, effectively teaching students of varied academic/age levels (grades K-12) and diverse cultural backgrounds.• Instruct classes of as many as 35 students; communicate with teachers, administrators and parents; and build a positive rapport with students.
