About Steve Eldredge

Is your internal operating system in need of an upgrade? You are a respected professional established in your career. Maybe you have a partner and some kids, a mortgage and a routine that keeps your life somewhat in balance. And then, suddenly, circumstances change. Circumstances just rocked your world. An unwelcome thought goes through your mind: "Can I handle it?" That's what happened to me. I had a prolonged period of family crisis and professional stress. I was overwhelmed, highly functional, and frustrated. Then a coach dropped into my life. Until he helped me reflect what he saw I had no clue I was running with the programming of a teenager. In stress or crisis my emotional intelligence was making matters worse. This is what he helped me discover: It isn’t a character flaw. It’s a coding glitch.I upgraded my internal code, my 'internal operating system.' Changes on the inside showed up on the outside. At work, business grew 10-fold in 5 years. The customer experience and organizational health became legendary. With some humility, courage, commitment, and practice, your internal code can be upgraded too. It isn’t about working harder. It isn’t your education. It's about upgrading your internal operating system.Having a coach used to be just for athletes and the C-suite. Now it is a competitive advantage at every level of business.

I'm your Personal and Professional Mastery Coach, passionate about increasing one’s capacity to solve higher quality problems. As a former Engineer and Director at Adobe with 30+ years of leadership, I understand the operational intensity of a bespoke follow-the-sun managed service business because I’ve experienced it myself. As a husband and father, I know what it means to juggle a high-intensity career with devotion to the people who matter most while finding joy in the journey.I also build and fly my own planes in my spare time. I’m an active pilot and certified aircraft mechanic. I know that process, training, order, practice, experience and prayer matter. I give rides to other people’s kids. I fly above populated areas. I change my own oil. Life is a pursuit full of high-stake activities, some with low tolerance of mistakes. I regularly pay my instructors and coaches more than I feel comfortable spending. I consider them an essential part of my personal and professional team. I reserve the right to get smarter. As president of ElevateNow, I now guide business professionals to become elite influencers and multipliers of multipliers. With all due respect to Mr. Sinek, we will start with ‘who’ first, then explore your ‘why.’ I’ll train you to design personal and professional goals and then fuel the passion with a personal ‘digital marketing campaign.’ You will experience powerful coaching that will change your life. Relationships matter. People matter. You Matter.

Director Business Operations And Security, Managed Services

San Jose, Ca, Us

As a former Director at Adobe with 30+ years of leadership experience, I applied what i learned professionally, guiding individuals and leaders to become elite influencers and multiplier of multipliers. We grew our world-wide managed services business 10x in 5 years. Professional Development takes courage, commitment and practice, but your internal default operating code can be upgraded. Whatever is holding you back isn't a character flaw, it's a coding glitch. It isn’t about working harder, it isn’t your education, or your people skills. It's about upgrading your skills mindset and behavior from their default settings. Having a coach used to be just for athletes - now it is a competitive advantage. Here's an example of a leadership pivot technique:We were at leadership retreat with a few minutes before dinner in a castle with a huge fireplace outside of London. I shared this pivot technique to quickly clear your head and create capacity for fresh ideas. Adapt this and try this on your own – extra credit if you are in a British Castle.1. Write: I feel frustrated because… Finish the sentence w/o judgement or editing. 2. Read it, actually acknowledge the emotion. Then, rip up the paper. (or burn it if you have a fireplace or BBQ handy)3: Pause – enjoy the feeling of freedom for a moment. Smile.4. Claim the wisdom. - Create a statement of what you want to feel and think and do next. (Even if it isn’t how you currently feel or think or do.)5. Take action: What are the next three things you need to do?Congratulations! Taking the garbage out makes room for the answers inside you. If you take action, your upgraded ideas will elevate you and those you are with.

Sr. Manager Business Operations, Adobe Managed Services

San Jose, Ca, Us

Managed Services delivers Adobe Digital Marketing services to the world’s top brands hosted in the cloud, but real people provide the operational excellence and security who worked together daily serving as a concierge engineer to a small handful of our 1000 premium AEM customers. My most fulfilling role was to select, hire, mentor, and train customer success engineers and managers to deliver world-class experiences that delight our customers! I led the team that development and operation of a 3-month training academy, modeled after pilot training programs. Each month a cohort of new hires were onboarded through Provisioning, Ground School, Wingman and Certification programs. A combination of self-directed study, live group training, culminated in 1:1 pairing of newbie and tenured staff to complete the training. With this methodology we were able to create a contextually relevant and up-to-date and consistent experience for new hires. As we grew academy training template was duplicated internationally. We also deployed a continued education initiative to develop unified operational habits leveraging scenario based 'wargames' a lecture and Q&A series, created an internal podcast show recording over 70 episodes, created in-person leadership training workshops on 3 continents. I developed great respect for the incredible breadth of experience, diversity, and dedication of my colleagues of many countries and culture. Thank you for adding so much flavor to my life's work. Shantanu - I'll never forget the Buddha palm traffic trick. Indeed - the secret sauce of a health organization is a health culture. Each of you have my utmost respect. I'm proud of what you continue to accomplish. My hat is off the amazing collection of hundreds of friends who I've grown to know across the planet. It has been a pleasure to serve with you.

Senior Storage Manager, Adobe Techops

San Jose, Ca, Us

I arrived at Adobe a few months after Adobe had just purchased Omniture. It was a radical move for a creative company to purchasing a digital marketing company. Decidedly a right-brain company purchasing a left-brain company. It brought opposites together that complemented one another, leveraging the synergy, the best of data and metrics with experiential engagement. That union changed the world of digital marketing. Then we did it again by introducing software as a subscription. Our TechOps Storage team was a center pillar, delivering solutions to gather, protect and provide answers to new questions before big data became Big Data. We rearchitected the enterprise, scaled virtualization, cloud storage, networking and defined cloud based computing services . Heady times for a kid who delivered floral supplies to 60 supermarkets and hundreds of florist shops in Colorado. It was during this time I hired my own personal development coach. We were parents of 5 teens. My aim was to repair and possibly preserve relationships that meant the most to me. I payed more than I felt comfortable. I learned the difficulty of looking inward first, seeing others a people instead of objects, even the art of going to war with a heart at peace. Curiously capability at work soared! I was less defensive, more curious, more vulnerable, more respectful. I became a better follower and a better leader. As I tore down my wall of wisdom, got outside my comfort zone, crucial conversations became productive dialogue. Adversaries became partners. I gradually let go of being right, in favor of being possibly mistaken. Cleaning up on the inside, created results on the outside My income doubled. The results followd at home too. Today I’m a better husband, father of adult children, and almost a dozen grands. We enjoy, understand, and encourage each other. That’s priceless. I still pay my coaches more than I’m comfortable.
