Prior to joining Headwaters, he founded and was the Managing Director of Cross Border Strategies LLC, which focused exclusively on facilitating international debt financing for small to middle market companies of all types with current or planned operations or assets overseas.Stephen has broad legal and business experience in multi-jurisdictional transactions of all types, including recapitalizations, leveraged buyouts, portfolio acquisitions, leveraged finance and asset based lending, senior debt, mezzanine debt, subordinated debt as well as structuring and re-structuring. His extensive management skills include establishing “start up” operations in Canada and the UK for US based lending institutions.Stephen has personally lead over 100 international financing transactions involving more than $10 billion in international financing.
