With over 30 years of law department and law firm experience, Steve is a general counsel, trusted advisor to the board and senior management, strategic leader and senior executive. His expertise includes board and C-suite dynamics, corporate governance, leadership, executive compensation, complex contract negotiation, regulatory & compliance, data security & privacy, employment & HR, intellectual property and complex litigation.Steve serves as the General Counsel at JTV, an international, multi-channel jewelry retailer. While in private practice, Steve was a partner in an AmLaw 200 firm, where he served on the board of directors, as a chair of two multi-office practice groups, and as an office managing partner. His practice focused on complex intellectual property and commercial litigation.Steve has a passion for mentorship and team building. To pay it forward, he teaches a course entitled “The Role of the General Counsel” to prepare law students for in house practice.Steve is a frequent speaker on leadership, in-house practice and corporate governance.
