Worked all over the stack shipping small, backwards compatible changes quickly to internal web APIs and user interfaces. Worked with product owners and stakeholders to scope and deliver on projects and products.Research Square had an incredibly complex enterprise domain with plenty of microservices and cross-team communication and collaboration. Some of my biggest achievements here involved leading projects across these teams, ironing out requirements, and delivering projects that scaled.Frequently mentored junior engineers and upheld the tenets of Domain Driven Design while teaching and encouraging junior engineers on our team to do the same.Worked on onboarding material, site documentation, and internal tooling to help reduce cycle time across engineering. Prototyped multiple SaaS applications in a startup environment. Senior level operations would come to our very small development team with just an idea and we would bring it to market as fast as possible using an agile approach.During my time here I: - Worked with an internal analytics and reporting team to take their external data stored in MSSQL and stream it into an internal operations MySQL database to use to drive a web application. - Built a Mailchimp clone with a WYSIWYG advanced email editor specific to the non-profit market. - Designed an internal operations web application to help automate and streamline employees day to day work.Stack: Vue JS, Laravel, MSSQL, MySQL, Docker, Gitlab

I built modern web applications from the ground up for clients across the globe utilizing whatever tool was the right fit for the job. Most solutions consisted of an AWS infrastructure and a user interface wrote with something like jQuery or Angular/Vue and a REST API using Python or PHP with a MySQL or Mongo persistence layer. Some fun projects included a large real time fantasy baseball site, an eCommerce site focused on B2B with many integrations (payment, shipping, CS systems), and a SaaS app for managing personal assets.

Frequently trolled the data@amazon, ruby@amazon, software@amazon, linux@amazon, etl@amazon, sharepoint@amazon internal email distro lists waiting to help folks with gathering metrics or building projects that leveraged the Amazon Data Warehouse which at the time was the end all be all, and hosted on an internal tool using full Oracle SQL. - Successfully deprecated several large folders of operational spreadsheets and ported those into web applications. - Launched call centers and metrics trainings in Manila and Cebu(Philippines), Kingston (Jamaica) and other US locations (Seattle, North Dakota and more)- Wrote SQL queries to access customer service metrics from large Oracle Data Warehouses and built internal dashboards for coaches and trainers to use to analyze Customer Services metrics and quality.- As a project leader, I hosted 10+ Six-Sigma Kaizen projects that provided an overall company cost savings of $5M. Most projects focused on waste elimination and increased quality of the product web pages. These were during the early years of the Amazon Kindle 1 and 2.
