Over the past 15 years, I have built a solid reputation as the go-to project team leader for helping companies safely and successfully execute complex, technical capital projects across the US and abroad. I launched my career with ExxonMobil as an Operations Engineer (2009 to 2011), managing a +$100MM budget for project planning, cost, schedule, and engineering. In 2011, I was promoted to a Senior Operations Engineer role based in Norway, planning, executing, and closing-out an offshore project while handling business development, performance improvement, and business workflow optimization duties. I have received multiple promotions to Senior Staff Project Engineer, Lead Engineer, and Joint Interest Advisor roles (2016 to present), where I guided end-to-end project lifecycles for projects across Canada, Australia, Equatorial Guinea, Brazil, and Houston. After taking on some of the Oil & Gas industry's most challenging offshore / subsea construction installation projects using fully submerged ocean equipment and technology located in deep ocean waters, I look forward to using my skillsets across the energy value chain.Some of my recent career impacts include:► Project Planning & Process: Partnering with senior management / stakeholders to define partner needs, manage project scoping, finalize project designs, and lead business development for multi-billion-dollar commercial acquisitions in Brazil and the US. ► Project Budgeting & Finance: Saving +$20MM (>15%) in project costs for Petrobras (operating partner) by recommending project designs while building operational plans, designs, and cost estimates to finalize an $8B investment project decision.► Project Team Leadership: Empowering cross-functional infrastructure project teams across North & South America, Australia, Norway, and Africa to help matrix organizations meet energy sustainability needs. I hold a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemical Engineering from Brigham Young University and have served as Committee Chair of the Society of Petroleum Engineers from 2016 to 2018. Far from the stereotypical introverted engineer, I enjoy working with diverse, cross-functional teams to build sustainable relationships that grow over time. Servant leadership is a core part of my personal and professional life, and I currently serve as a volunteer leader of a 250+ member church, overseeing all staffing, budget decision-making, and financial stewardship. I am also fluent in Portuguese, which has allowed me to quickly build inroads and trust with global project partners.
