Lead the architecture and implementation of a data management platform that calculates the size and segmentation of an audience in a place and time using data from several of the largest cellular and mobile data providers in the US including Verizon, Sprint, Facebook, and Google.

- Architected and led a pilot implementation by an offshore team of a mobile and cloud services platform hosted on AWS that leveraged (without breaking) a massive ecosystem of 3.5 nines hospitality enterprise services to support a guest facing proof of concept. The supporting cast for the pilot included: global distribution systems, property management systems, point of sale, access control, guest services platforms, and a lot of people.- Delivered hybrid native + mobile web apps on iOS and Android that were marketed and delivered via Test Flight to high value guests at lab hotels. Features include remote room selection and check-in, front desk bypass + straight to room, BLE room key, and mobile concierge services.

- Beginning with a vision, a PowerPoint, and a functional MVP product, sold Princess Cruises a smart TV + digital signage + mobile ecosystem used 24 months after signature by 6,000 PAX and crew each week on a 143,000-ton boat longer than three football fields (measured either by American or European football fields). The product is now in service on many cruise ships worldwide on both fiber and hybrid coax distribution plants with monthly FOTA updates to end points that uses a technical solution our team designed and developed.- Architected and program managed TV, digital signage, and mobile end point features on both Samsung Smart TV and a Viewsonic Android set-top-box developed from reference design to manufacturing production in China. On glass content provisions from Los Angeles to space to a ship’s 4 nines on-board broadcast center + head-end to deliver content 24 x 7 including live and broadcast 720P IPTV, movies on demand, music on demand, on-screen apps, and contextual signage. Signage, TV, and mobile content is personalized to guests and staff by context dimensions constrained by a custom, semantic ontology that uses SIR tags to intersect content and user objects: guest profile, time of day, day of week, day type, and ship location. Designed and manufactured with Viewsonic the coolest remote control in all of hospitality.- Led a large global team with program management, software, hardware, manufacturing, operations, and installation resources spread between Seattle, Los Angeles, and Italy.

- Beginning with a team of five people when my business unit was acquired by Tweddle from UIEvolution, signed the contracts with Toyota plus many partners and content providers to develop and deliver the first connected car experience in the world on model year 10 vehicles. Entune and Enform is currently in use on millions of passenger vehicles worldwide.- Grew our team from the five us in 2009 to more than 50 people in the United States, Detroit, and Japan to design, develop, and deliver the entire cloud-based IT platform on AWS, mobile apps on Android and iPhone, and the head unit firmware and UX used to deliver services to vehicle owners in the car and on their smartphone from Bing, OpenTable, MovieTickets.com, Inrix, Pandora, and iHeartRadio to the Denso head unit of Toyota and Lexus passenger vehicles.

- In addition to the work that produced the Toyota project, led an innovation team of program managers, engineers, UX designers, and testers to ship mobile apps on the UIEngine hypervisor and SDK. Worked with mobile operating systems and BSPs + reference designs to bare metal. Worked on or led our professional services projects with customers including Delphi, Panasonic Automotive, General Motors, Chrysler, Disney, Clear Channel, SiriusXM, Motorola, INRIX, and ESPN to deliver consumer and B2B apps on iOS, Android, Brew, MIDP, Symbian and Windows Mobile. Worked on a cool project that involved launching a school-bus sized satellite into space to deliver broadcast TV to mobile phones (it didn’t work).
