Business Development ManagerMusic Bank (Hire) Ltd Oct 2014 - Apr 2015London, United KingdomFollowing an Administration Agreement with BMG, my role at Perfect Songs was no longer viable, and I was asked by the Directors of the group to take on Business Development for Music Bank - a rehearsal studio and equipment hire company. Although the company had been trading for over 20 years, the level of profit needed to be improved and a new premises found due to the expiry of the existing lease.I compiled P&L forecasts for a variety of new premises and business models, meeting with owner, Trevor Horn, as well as the Head of Finance and the General Manager, and fielding any questions they had regarding the proposed ideas. I also identified a commercial estate agent to assist in our search for a new home and analysed the various properties' suitability for our needs.At the same time I met with various existing contacts within the music industry to gain new clients for both the studios and the hire companies and also maintain those existing relationships. I was also asked to work with Trevor Horn directly on two events - one to celebrate the 30th anniversary of one of his classic albums which was held within his SARM Studios in Notting Hill and the other was a live concert from his band at the Shepherd's Bush Empire where I worked with the artist, promoter and agent to ensure a very successful event.
