Over and above my general role as a police officer, I was predominantly involved with road traffic safety for many of those years, dealing with collisions, offenders & offences. Towards the end of my service I became involved in anti-social behaviour dealing with drivers who are under the influence of drugs. I was the first UK Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) trained in the US.I was personally involved in the development of training for Field Impairment Testing and Drug Influence Recognition for the Association of Chief Police Officers and the Department for Transport. Passionate about what the impact of drug driving has on drivers young and old, as a businessman, I can apply my drug driving impairment knowledge, investigation and policing skills to my business. I always wanted to write a book, but felt that I never had the right life skills. But spending thirty years with Northamptonshire Police, the life skills came thick and fast! Writing crime fiction, seemed to be the way to go but with a British traffic cop's twist. 'Blind Murder,' my debut crime novel was the result. My second novel 'Driving Dead' was published in January 2019 and my third novel, written as my dissertation for my MA with the UEA, 'Crimson Dragon,' I am currently seeking representation for.
