“My goal is to help my clients connect with a wider audience by mixing and producing their music in such a way that listeners are converted to lifelong fans”Over the course of my years in the music business I have been gratefully presented with 1 Grammy, and a combination of 47 Gold and Platinum records. From the hundreds of records I’ve worked on my name appears on the credits of over 100 million records sold.My diverse bio includes hits with The Cars, Maroon 5, Chris Brown, Motion City Soundtrack, Britney Spears, letlive., R. Kelly, Common, Whitney Houston, Joe, Backstreet Boys, and Donnie McClurkin. to name a few. From having that experience of working with artists spanning multiple genres I’m confident in working in any genre including all forms of Rock, Indie, Pop, R&B, and Gospel. I started out in the music business as co-founder and drummer of the alternative rock band "Ministry”, after leaving the group and a short stay in the band “Colortone” I moved over to the production side of the business as Chief Engineer of Clive Calder’s Jive/Battery Studios in Chicago. From 1989-1998 I made hit records with world famous multi platinum artists for Jive Records as well as other major and independent labels. During this time I was the Chief Engineer for R. Kelly, traveling with him for five years, programming, mixing and recording all of his studio recordings as well as his production work for other artists. In December 1998 I moved to New York, where I currently reside working on hits with all of the major labels and many independents.Most recently I opened my own production company / indie label / recording studio "Gimme That Sound Productions". Gimme That Sound is a full service facility where I produce and mix for outside clients as well as produce, mix, and record all of the acts on my label.
