Throughout my career I have proven myself to be a highly effective contract manager/vendor manager by successfully reducing expenses at the same time as maximizing services benefit to the organization. By developing an advanced set of negotiating and process improvement skills, I consistently succeed in executing service, pricing, and labor contracts, vendor agreements, SOWs, and staff augmentations for every business function including Technology, Telecommunications, Marketing, and Operations. I thoroughly enjoy my role for several reasons; First, I am a highly organized and methodical planner which enables me to be manage numerous complex projects concurrently. Second, I enjoy working with people to solve business challenges. As I increase my knowledge, I am able to envision new possibilities and implement better, faster, and more effective solutions.Although I’ve learned to wear many organizational hats, I’ve skillfully developed a unique blend of 3 particular roles that have proven to be critical in my formula for success. The first is that of the partner. By forging partnerships with senior management, I am able to gain the strategic insight needed to construct my framework and approach to positively impact the organization. The second is that of the collaborator. By working side by side with department heads, I am able to gain a clear understanding of their tactical business needs while ensuring alignment with senior management’s strategy. Finally, the third hat is that of the negotiator. Once the strategy and business tactics are defined, I am able to formulate, negotiate, and execute contracts with 3rd party vendors that bring favorable results to the organization.However, the most important aspect to keep in mind, is to always be honest and ethical, regardless of the hat being worn. This is the true secret to gaining trust, cooperation, and ultimately achieving organization-wide success.
