- Raised £4,169.38 for Katharine House Hospice by riding a motorcycle around Africa.- Blogged and reviewed gear on my travel website (PHP using Grav).- Invited to write a trip report in Chris Scott’s Adventure Motorcycle Handbook.

Postdoc role on an AgriTech project for automatically detecting early warning signs of health and welfare problems in groups of pigs (indoors) using computer vision and machine learning.- Developed multi-object 3D tracking of pigs in C++ using time-of-flight depth cameras and the Point Cloud Library.- Deployed software and hardware on farms for an 8-12-camera system with edge/IoT GPUs.- Developed algorithms to infer behaviour from trajectories.

- Postdoc role on the Modelling Autonomous Reasoning System (MARS) project, which was a collaboration with BT plc. - Researched and developed (Java) clustering, subspace/projected clustering, sequence mining, and fuzzy/possibilistic clustering for alert correlation in intrusion detection systems.The MARS project was funded by the Technology Strategy Board. The grant reference is 101247.

The subcommittee was formerly known as GOLD up to December 2013 before it changed to Young Professionals.

During early 2008 I worked on a pathfinder project that successfully secured venture capital investment for a spin-out company from the Centre for Computational Intelligence, DMU. VenueSim utilises evolutionary algorithms and statistical methods for modelling airport operations.

During my Bachelors degree, I worked in industry providing Level 2 and 3 software support for an IT retail solution to a pub chain. This involved diagnosing IT problems and daily reporting to senior management.
