My most recent position was as a Teaching Fellow in Medieval Literature at Royal Holloway, University of London. I graduated with a PhD in English Literature (co-supervised in Archaeology) in July 2013. My doctoral project explored the relationship between the literary, historiographic and material evidence for ghost belief in medieval England, c.900-1400. My research interests include burial archaeology, 'wonder' stories, medieval and early modern ghost narratives, disease theory, and twelfth-century historiography. I was previously an editorial assistant at the journal Studies in the Age of Chaucer, and have recently published my first monograph, Supernatural Encounters: Demons and the Restless Dead in Medieval England (Routledge, 2020)As well as actively looking for lecturing and research positions in higher education, I am also interested in the world of academic publishing.
