Production:Rebuilt PrePress and Digital Departments implementing new work flows that enable customers a faster and better quality experience through the use of process automation, lean and six sigma practices, and improved customer facing solutions. Increased throughput by 75% through the use of these practices. Developed the RAPID work flow, that took turned proof turn times from days into hours.IT:Restructured and upgraded all infrastructure, including but not limited to servers, hardware (desktop), network, and RIP integration with online customer solutions. Updated and implemented server / network security, wireless (secure) network, redundant data backup and retrieval, and off site data backup solutionSales:Work with the sales group to go on site with them to a client, to incorporate best practices to allow a customers faster turn times and higher quality without the added expense. Also act as a liaison for sales to communicate proper solutions for a customer, and offer unique solutions to help complete the sale.

Duties included but were not limited to: System Administration (Apple/Microsoft Servers running Kodak Prinergy), Software Support and Creation, R&D, Work flow optimization, Manager of Corporate Wide Pre Press Team. Started with the company by taking multiple failing Pre Press departments and converted them into profit centers, capturing wasted labor and process' and capitalizing on efficiencies and automation in the work flow. Accepted a corporate wide position to create uniform work flows and streamline Pre Press systems (RIPS, Desktops, CTP Devices) across the organization as well as work as R&D for creating new systems for production.On a team that I led, we created a typesetting system that was able to replace an old outdated system. By doing this, the error rate in each company from 4 to 5 percent of all orders to .05 percent of all orders. With this, turn time was reduced by 75 percent. This created an annual savings of almost $750K per year on waste.The next project was to create a grouping engine that would eliminate the need to sort jobs out before they were plated by hand. The system I developed was named Triton, and with my team, implemented it into multiple facilities automating the process. By doing so, the process went from 8 to 10 hours of sorting hundreds of jobs to 30 seconds. This system saved the organization 1.5 Million dollars in the first year alone.

The Regional Printing Institute (a division of Shepherd University) was founded to create a center of learning for print professionals on the Interstate 81 corridor in the northeast region of the country.
