As Development Systems Manager, I oversee the direct mail and online fundraising work for Planned Parenthood of Southern New England. My role also includes the complete oversight of the development constituent database (Raiser’s Edge) and supervises the Development Database Assistant.

• Database management: Complete oversight of a 5,000+ donor and volunteer contact list.
• Grant writing/Fundraising: Coordinate and write grant proposals, grant reports, budgets, and reimbursement documents.
• Fundraising: Spearhead the planning and execution of organization meetings and fundraisers such as the Annual Meeting and Fall Fundraiser.
• Office systems: Maintain and create office systems that ensure that key information is effectively recorded, filed and organized, and office communication systems are in place.
• Bookkeeping: Record financial transactions and reconcile monthly statements, create financial reports, make bank deposits, and manage accounts receivable and payable.
• Liaison and Representative: Assist with coordination, attend, and in some cases, lead various stakeholder meetings. This included both internal and external meetings.

• Compose, edit and publish articles on a range of topics for various news websites and blogs.
• Photograph, film and edit videos for interviews and marketing.

• Write and distribute press releases and other communication materials in a timely manner, maintaining a strong relationship with the press and supporters.
• Oversee, coordinate, and proofread all outgoing materials, including weekly newsletters, postcards, invitations, The Arts Paper, and ads for local and regional newspapers.
• Develop new communications and fundraising strategies for arts events, exhibitions, and online media.
• Coordinate and lead the Arts Marketing Network, a monthly fundraising and planning meeting, in collaboration with the Director of Development.
