Over the 15+ years I have spent in the federal Access to Information and Privacy (ATIP) field, I have acquired a wealth of ATIP experience, including in the areas of administrative support, team leadership, and records analysis, specifically through successful and productive positions at Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Justice Canada, Citizenship and Immigration Canada, Service Canada, Statistics Canada, Shared Services Canada, Health Canada, Library and Archives Canada and currently, Public Safety Canada. However, while my experience has provided me with a wide range of highly relevant skills and knowledge (from which the public and the public service continually benefit), I am no longer interested in ATIP, hoping instead to pursue other governmental opportunities. In addition to ongoing development of excellent people skills and leadership qualities, my academic record has proven to be invaluable to my progress and success in the ATIP field. Following an Ontario Secondary School Diploma from Ashbury College and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario, I earned an Information Access and Protection of Privacy (IAPP) certificate from the University of Alberta as well as a "Professional" certification from the Canadian Institute of Access and Privacy Professionals (CIAPP).Specialties: - Access to Information and Privacy Acts- retrieval of records and processing of ATIP requests- informal/formal ATIP training and educationTO ALL CONTRACTUAL AND TEMPORARY HELP FIRMS: As I am already employed by the Government of Canada on an indeterminate basis, I am not currently interested in any contractual opportunities.
