About Stephen Horn

Stephen Horn founded Bouncing Biscuit Studios, a Cape Town-based video production company with a focus on social issues and news media content, in 2017. In 2021 he launched the South African branch of the Clean Creatives campaign which advocates for PR and advertising agencies to decline work from the fossil fuel industry. He was recognised by the Mail & Guardian as one of South Africa's 200 Young South Africans in 2022 for his work in climate change communication in South Africa.As producer, Stephen Horn has created and run several web shows, and is currently involved in 'Politically Aweh', a South African Film and Television Award-winning South African politics and news show with a focus on youth perspectives.He holds a South African Guild of Editors associate membership and has provided freelance video editing and motion graphics services to productions for major brands, live events, music videos, documentaries and international television formats.Stephen is fluent in French and has worked in a French postproduction environment, including as Post Production Supervisor. He holds a BA Hons degree in Film and TV Analysis from the University of Cape Town.

It has featured on Al Jazeera, ITV news in the UK, Afropunk in the USA and multiple local South African media outlets. It is the winner of the 2020 international Inside the Greenhouse Climate and Comedy Video Competition, and is currently nominated for the 2022 South African Film and Television Awards ans DStv Content Creator Awards. This involved me cutting a weekly behind the scenes video of the studio collaboration process between household names such as Cassper Nyovest, Jeremy Loops, Black Motion, KWESTA, Toya de Lazy, David Kramer, Freshlyground, Jack Parow, and many more.
