We offer hard facts and an objective assessment of what they tell us, helping tough policy decisions to be made with a sense of confidence. Leading the organisation through a period of change following the retirement of the previous Chief Executive. Managing preparations for transfer or closure following the change of government whilst maintaining good commitment and morale amongst the staff.

Providing an expanding and improving range of data and research to support the inspectorate, covering the evidence informing the inspections themselves, the findings from inspections and the organisation's management information. Also represented the inspectorate on a number of groups developing methodologies for the sector.

Collecting, analysing and reporting on a range of statistical and management information relating to the operation of the inspectorate, the outcomes of inspections and the work-based learning sector. I was also heavily involved in the set up of the Adult Learning Inspectorate (which replaced the TSC).

Four different posts producing statistical analysis of different aspects of the training and education system including work-based learning, school tests and examinations, teachers and gender issues in education.
