I represent businesses and business owners with any litigation issues. In addition, I help individuals who are injured in a wide-range of situations. For my business litigation practice, I specialize in:- Shareholder-oppression, dissenter’s rights, and divorce matters involving a family business. Since graduating with a business degree, I took comprehensive courses through AIPCA and ASA to expand my knowledge of business valuation. I find that my business/finance background is helpful in these types of cases.- Cases involving contracts, breach of fiduciary duty, conversion, fraud, tortious interference, and other business-related claims. For example, in a business-tort/valuation case, I helped obtain an $8 million jury verdict for our client. - Sales Representative Litigation: I specialize in cases involving sales commissions and Michigan's Sales Representative Commission Act, representing both representatives and companies. For example, I defended an employer from a $1.2 million commission claim where the jury awarded the plaintiff $0.00. On the representative's side, I obtained a complete reversal in my client's favor from the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, resulting in a six-figure settlement for my client. I find that my representation of both sides gives me an advantage in obtaining favorable results for my clients.As to my personal-injury practice, I specialize in:- Auto-accidents: I help clients pursue compensation from the at-fault driver, as well as deal with their own insurance company to obtain payment for medical bills and other benefits, like underinsured/uninsured compensation. Every accident impacts that person's life, and I've successfully represented those who've suffered some of the most serious injuries imaginable, to those whose injuries may not appear serious but are nonetheless deserving of compensation. -Medical Providers: I represent businesses who provide services to those who are injured, including companies providing home/attendant care, nursing, physical therapy, case management, and other services. -Individuals: I also help anyone injured by the general negligence of others. For example, I represented a client that broke his hip when a stack of heavy cardboard fell on top of him while walking through a business. We established the carelessness with which the company created the stack, tried the case to a jury, and obtained a verdict/judgment over 3 times what the insurance company offered.
