My energy derives from exploring innovations and implementing processes that can make organizations even better at what they do. With 17 years of experience in higher education, increased trust in ascending roles, and ongoing work with a variety of stakeholders, I have critical expertise in mobilizing fiscal and relational capital to engage improvement initiatives. I believe the mission of an organization is the foundation from which it becomes the best version of itself. Can we do what we do even better? Do the people in the organization ask that question every day? I find inspiration in the words of Ed Catmull in Creativity, Inc. "What makes Pixar special is that we acknowledge we will always have problems, many of them hidden from our view; that we work hard to uncover these problems, even if doing so means making ourselves uncomfortable; and that, when we come across a problem, we marshal all of our energies to solve it. This, more than any elaborate party or turreted workstation, is why I love coming to work in the morning. It is what motivates me and gives me a definite sense of mission."
