Based on-site in Pfizer, Ringaskiddy working across the NIRMA and main site projects, I have established myself as a dedicated and robust EHS officer with a particular focus on helping to improve the evolution, communication and implementation of our safety management system to all our people – via Kiernan, Pfizer and external initiatives. With daily and weekly communications via ongoing training and toolbox talks I help to ensure that staff are informed, compliant and equipped with the necessities conducive to carrying out their tasks safely. With the necessary interpersonal and administrative skills required I aim to continue to build relationships across the board - with craft, management, Pfizer and beyond - to continuously drive home Kiernan’s commitment to safety and to ensure that we all learn, grow and develop our safety culture.

With DPD I quickly established myself as a safe and competent driver, willing to cover any route and help with unexpected absences. I was involved in various projects and functions relating to K&N's internal Quality, Safety, Health, Environment and Security management.My main tasks included:- Raising the standard of road haulage suppliers' compliance for transport of pharma, food, high-value cargo and dangerous goods; logging and routinely inspecting documentation such as insurance certs, calibration certs, driver details and training records- Opening, tracking and closing out of Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA's)- Opening, tracking and closing out of H&S accidents and near-misses and providing training reviews to staff where necessary- Ongoing training of staff and record-keeping- Daily camera checks, pulling CCTV images where an incident has arisen and compiling reports- Environmental impact and cost-monitoring, reporting on utilities such as electricity and gas usage- Internal department and external road haulage supplier audits- Preparation for visits and audits from outside parties such as existing and potential future clients, as well as regulatory bodies such as the IAA and HPRA- Reviewing and updating all Risk Assessments, SOP and Work Instruction documents across the entire company and conducting one-to-one and group sessions with staff to review updated procedures- Ad hoc duties, one-off projects and dealing with urgent requests for assistance within my remit; giving general advice and guidance to colleagues in all aspects of Health, Safety and Quality Management.
