Envision a place where everything you do, every click, every transaction, every keystroke, always holds a potential for danger. Well, that's where I come in. I'm Stephen Joshua, a Cybersecurity Graduate from the University of North Texas, armed with passion and a goal to strive in the Cybersecurity Industry.Picture this: a child watching a superhero program on television who uses all his fancy superpowers to save the world. We've all strived to be superheroes as kids (I loved Batman and his Bat-Mobile, and still do). Fast-forward to today, I do the same thing Batman does, save people from Threats and Bad Actors (Hackers), but with Cybersecurity and Network security tools and methodologies. Even though I'm not as cool as Batman, I'm a keyboard warrior in the Cybersecurity realm and try to be the best :)From monitoring network traffic to investigating suspicious activities, developing IDS/IPS solutions and firewalls, and using tools and methodologies to safeguard companies and clients, which help me defend and ensure that the customer's data or web application remains impregnable. Be it engaging with stakeholders and also vendors, I strive to demonstrate security excellence.After getting my Bachelor's in Computer Science in 2022, right after, I directly applied for Grad school and came to the US and graduated in December 2023 with Cybersecurity as my major. Having completed many Projects and Labs using the help of tools such as Nessus, OWASP ZAP, Splunk, and Cloud platforms such as Amazon AWS, and Microsoft Azure and many more other tools, I believe they set me up to join an Organization and showcase my skills as a Cybersecurity Professional.Outside the Cybersecurity realm, I also find joy in the strategic challenge of gaming, and have a great interest in E-sports and FPS games such as Valorant, CS:GO, etc. Having a great love for Chess helped a lot, which not only benefited me in aspects like decision-making but also improved my concentration and creativity, and physically challenging sports like badminton and basketball helped my overall fitness. All these things not only keep me mentally strong but also help me continually grow and strive to compete and be the best in everything I do.Looking to start things off in the professional world, where I not only bring these technical skills to the table but also might crack a few jokes here and there so that we tackle challenges with laughter :)
