Various roles as contractor in the Dallas-Fort Worth area on a number of different complex projects and migrations. Usually brought in as a Senior Network Consultant, I am relied on as a last level escalation for troubleshooting as well as to lead a number of potentially high impact projects successfully. Projects and migrations include global VPN redesign to loadbalancing upgrades to full scale data center buildouts.• Senior escalation point on all things VPN including leading global VPN redesign project that moved from multiple ASA firewalls to a single ASR platform, saving valuable real estate as well as provided a scalable solution for future growth without having to upgrade platform. FlexVPN, SSL VPN, L2L VPN, ikev1/2 VPN as well as Remote User VPN via ipsec/any connect clients.• Senior escalation point on all Citrix MPX Netscaler platforms including planning upgrades to outdated gear and migrations to updated platforms.• Senior escalation point on most ASA Firewall issues/projects including migrations from pre ASA8.2 code to ASA8.3 code. Developed a script to assist with the numerous pre ASA8.2 version upgrades and limited the number of errors or mistakes allowing the project to run more efficiently. • Design and Implementation of Cisco ASA with FirePower Services.• Technical lead on major upgrades/replacement of critical network equipment during 4DX and PCI compliance initiatives.• Technical lead for deployment of tools like Solar Winds and NetBrain.• Provided on-call support in a 24/7 rotation to provide after hours support to both internal and external facing clients. • Technical lead for secondary data center build including the configuration of Nexus 7k, 5k, 2k as well as implement the Nexus 9k offering for eventual SDN use. F5 Viprion platforms were also deployed in this design along with Cisco ASA 5585-x firewalls.

Responsible for new implementations, ongoing administration, and connectivity with partners and vendors.• Terremark is one of the largest web hosting companies in the world comprising of data centers across the United States, Latin America and Europe. A level 5 datacenter in Miami supports Enterprise customers as well as many federal government entities.• Heavy work with Cisco ASA’s, Citrix NetScalers, Cisco Nexus, and enterprise routing environments. Migrated several large customer instances to our datacenter while allowing for maximum uptime.• Drove customer calls on several implementations of VPNs, on both Cisco routers and ASA firewalls.• In charge of scripting all migrations from legacy datacenters to newer environments without issues.

Maintenance and proactive monitoring of a 38,000 node network using BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, MPLS, and multicast on Cisco 7200, 3600 and Cat 6500 switches and Juniper M10i routers, Severity 1-4 troubleshooting and resolution, create change control scripts, execute configuration modifications. Monitor and maintain Riverbed and Expand compression engines, Citrix Netscaler load balancers, and F5 BigIP / 3DNS units.
