After I finished my Master's in Math Education, I had to choose between becoming a teacher, or staying in tech. I lived just a few miles from Simon's Rock, and picked tech for an.edu, and joined their small ITS staff. I initially helped out with systems work, while they were between sys admins, but then filled a vacancy in User Services and Instructional.

Berkshire Morris is a dance team, coming up on its 35th year. We do ritual dance from the ancient English Morris tradition. Our annual performance season starts at sunrise on May Day, when we dance to assure fertility for the crops and prosperity for our towns. We continue dancing out on local streets as often as possible until the Summer Solstice.

I developed a PalmOS data collection application that synced with TransSystems' database of bus or train routes. It was used for federally-mandated "Ride Checks" of major urban transit systems, where data entry staff would ride each route and record the boardings and alightings at each stop.
