Founded a consulting firm focused on solving client problems using cutting edge tools, restructured business models and unique financing methodologies such as alternative risk transfer, financing solutions, and special purpose vehicles. Created business plans, financial models, specialty financial products, feasibility studies, and risk mitigation strategies for a diverse client base. Clients included insurance companies, independent power merchant plants, alternative energy, professional employer organizations, insurance agency, home health care provider, sub-prime auto lenders, real estate developers and a hologram designer.Concurrently, founded Innovation HR, Inc and served as the CEO of a Professional Employer Organization (“PEO”) established to integrate the industry both horizontally and vertically. Directed PEO operations with specific oversight of the health care products, workers compensation portfolio and underwriting. Directed acquisition activities, interacted with regulators, industry leaders, insurance executives, acquisition targets, and industry lobby groups.

Recruited by the Chairman of Willis to establish energy insurance brokerage operations in the southwestern US as an adjunct to their newly created U.S. energy division. Subsequently, absorbed an existing local Willis operation into the energy company and grew the resulting merged operations to over 100 employees. Full P&L responsibility for combined operation. Additional responsibilities included new product and services coordination for global energy company, Account Executive for the company’s largest southwest based energy and chemical clients, directed insurance placement of several large accounts, part of the sales team for large accounts, and member of both the Global Steering Committee and the US Executive Committee.

Full P&L responsibility for all non casualty operations within the Houston branch office including Marine, Energy, Aviation, International and Office Services operations and grew it into the largest Houston branch profit center. Account Executive for a number of major accounts. Responsible for the placement of several of the largest on-shore energy accounts in the J&H system. Member of several National Practice Committees; Energy, Property, Utility and Independent Power.
