Ellen was my advisor on campus and I had recently graduated with a BA in history. Ellen hired me to be her research assistant, to write a chapter on the Leclaire historic district, and to produce selected Illustrations. The book, published in 1996, is entitled Edwardsville, Illinois: An Illustrated History.
